DSBay Brake Lights Repair Clinic

The DSBay Brake Light Coalition brings together five Bay Area DSA chapters and organizing committees. Traffic stops are often used as a pretext for police to search or detain people. A simple traffic stop can result in financial ruin, arrest, and even death.

Our goal is to provide a direct service to neighbors threatened by fines and other state violence and help to limit interactions between our communities and the police. Besides repairing car brake lights, we will also be engaging with our neighbors in substantive conversations about police violence and taking important first steps towards building solidarity. Our first repair clinic was a success — please join us!

If you want to support our work as a volunteer, you must sign up. We'll be working in shifts and according to designated roles, so make sure to fill out the form if you want to help! (Want to be extra-cool? Sign up for the morning shift! We need you there at 9 a.m. sharp for setup.) This form will close on February 16, and roles will be assigned by February 18.
