Socialism and Climate Change with Christian Parenti

East Bay DSA presents Christian Parenti

Please join us as we host Christian Parenti for a discussion on capitalism and climate change titled "From the New Mold Belt to Storm Socialism: the Perils and Possibilities of the Climate Crisis."

Christian Parenti is associate professor in economics at John Jay College, CUNY. He is a frequent columnist at Jacobin Magazine and The Nation. His latest book is Tropic of Chaos: Climate Change and the New Geography of Violence.

His recent essay for Jacobin, titled "If We Fail," lays out the stakes he foresees in the next couple decades, and offers some solutions.

A suggested donation $5-15 will help us cover the rental fee. No one turned away for lack of funds.
