those funds are spent. </p></li><li><p>In the aftermath of the George Flo

police funds to mental health services\,</strong> homelessness services\,
and youth programs. In October 2023<strong>\, Richmond was the first city

and reelected in 2024 with nearly 62% of the vote\, she is running a corpo
rate-free\, people-powered campaign as part of the Richmond Progressive Al

one of California's worst corporate polluters pay up for the harm done to
 Richmond.</p></li><li><p>Strengthened Richmond’s sanctuary city protecti

the left can do better than that! Neoliberals are putting out frameworks a
ll the time. They try things\, they don't work\, then they try something e
lse. We should be trying out our ideas too.</p><p>If we aren't going to li
ve under capitalism\, how will we organize things? How can we take lessons
from nature to ensure a good life for everyone & also prevent a mass exti
 nction crisis\, pandemics\, & climate change?</p><p>Join us for the 3rd we

Plan to Save the Future from Extinction\, Climate Change\, & Pandemics. Tr

DESCRIPTION:<p>On this date in 1896\, the Supreme Court of the United State
s ruled in <em>Plessy v Ferguson</em> that segregation was not unlawful di
scrimination. It was one of many decisions made by a handful of unelected
people that rolled back the gains of the Civil War and Reconstruction era.
  During that decades-long struggle\, white Northern farmers\, workers\, an
d capitalists formed a temporary military and political alliance with Sout
hern enslaved people against their enslavers. Each side did so out of very
different motivations. This alliance produced a radical democratic moveme
nt&mdash\;arguably the greatest so far in American history&mdash\;that ove
rturned some but not all of the racist and oligarchic provisions of the or
iginal Constitution. Despite the efforts of many people\, including the Ra
