June 1, 2020
PLEASE MARK YOURSELF AS GOING TO THE STUDENT LED FB EVENT: https://www.facebook.com/events/266858108006519/
Justice for George Floyd!
On Monday at 4pm we will gather at Oakland Tech and march to the Oakland police department. This is a non-violent march for our entire community and families. We will not be destroying anything.
We are not seeking any legislative changes, so called reforms, or changes of heart by those in power. We will march to show solidarity with George Floyds family, and the Black community at large who fall victim to the systemic racism and barbarity of the police gang in America. This is a march for everyone who is opposed to the racism of our society.
This is a march to say, “Oakland stands with you”! We cannot allow incidents like this to continue. We must pick up the fight where others have left off until we transform our society. We have had enough
Please wear a mask, bring water, snacks and maintain 6 feet of distance at all times. More safety tips below.
*Per request of the Youth THIS WILL BE A PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATION*

Wear face coverings, only well fitting and properly tightened N95 masks will keep COVID-19 out, but anything helps. This is not about protecting yourself, but protecting your neighbors from from you!

5)Wear goggles (helps with the virus)
6)Practice physical distancing at least 6 feet apart
7)Stay calm and de-escalate tension with others around health practices. Encourage others to wear masks. We want to keep ourselves safe from the virus!
