Tax the Rich: Prop 15 Rally at Chevron
September 30, 2020
Join unions and community groups to picket in front of Chevron to Tax the Rich!
Prop 15 would make wealthy corporations like Chevron pay more in taxes to fund our schools and communities. Estimates say it would bring in $10-12 billion each year to support our teachers, healthcare workers, librarians and all public workers and be a major step in fighting back against capitalist greed and COVID austerity. That's why Chevron is currently bankrolling the effort to defeat Prop 15: so they can continue profiting from California's broken tax code at the expense of crucial social services.
On Wednesday we will march to Chevron and rally to demand that they stop polluting our politics and our community!
3pm: Meet at Judge George D Carroll Park
3:30pm: March to Chevron Gates (Castro St.)
4pm: Picket and rally with speakers
Please make sure that you observe social distancing and COVID safety while protesting and remember to bring water and sunscreen!
