🌹Labor 101: Socialism and the Labor Movement

May 2, 2022

The EBDSA Labor Committee is offering “Labor 101: Socialism and the Labor Movement," a three-session series to begin the first week in May. This series is meant to provide DSA members and friends a beginner’s picture of:

  • the importance of labor for the socialist project;
  • what unions are and do;
  • labor history;
  • how to be a labor movement supporter.

We are offering the series for those newer to socialism and newer to or inexperienced with labor.

We will meet three times for two hours at two-week intervals, with a manageable amount of reading each session. This is the third time we have offered Labor 101, and we are getting better and better at it each time!

You do not have to be a union member to participate.

If you would like to sign up, please register here by April 25th. Based on the availability of the participants we will schedule the day of the week on which it is offered, and whether it will be in-person or on zoom, and let you know the details by April 28th.

When: May 2, 2022, 5:00pm - 7:00pm
Where: TBD depending on participants' preferences
