🌹Electoral Committee Monthly Meeting

In this meeting we will have special guest Jovanka Beckles (AC Transit Director Ward 1 and former Richmond City Councilmember)!!! Join us in discussing current and local electoral activity in the East Bay! We will talk about East Bay DSA's role in supporting a candidate for State Senate. 

We'll also be discussing:

• Elections in 2024 (see this Map/List of East Bay 2024 Elections)
• Should we designate liaisons to elected officials? If yes, what topics do we want our liaisons to discuss with these electeds? 
• Report back from Oakland Policy Working Group, including the Oakland Unified School District special election in District 5. 

This meeting is open to both experienced comrades and those who have never attended a committee meeting before! It's a great opportunity to meet comrades and get introduced to, and involved in, our organizing work. There will be snacks and possibly a bar hangout afterwards.
