These are just a few things Oakland teachers and students are up against. They won significant gains this May with their historic strike, and we had their backs. But school privatizers are entrenching their power by preventing a labor-backed majority on the Oakland School Board, and they’ve already got a charter-backed candidate lined up. We’ve got to stand with teachers and students by taking back the School Board, and that starts with electing Sasha Ritzie-Hernandez this November.
