Please join us for a house party for our DSA-endorsed Berkeley City Council candidates, Cecilia Lunaparra and Soli Alpert! They are both running in special elections - Cecilia's election is April 16, and Soli's election is May 28 - so it's crucial that we get the word out ASAP so we can beat their corporate-backed opponents. As DSA-endorsed candidates, Soli and Cecilia are both using public financing instead of taking donations from Big Real Estate and other corporate interests. That means 1) anyone can donate up to $60 to each of them ($120 total) and 2) the City's Fair Elections Fund will match donations from Berkeley residents by a ratio of 6-1. That means, for example, if you donate $10 to a candidate, they will receive $70, and if you donate $60 then they will receive $420! If you'd like to donate, but can't make the house party, you can find their donations links here: - Donate to Soli Alpert - Donate to Cecilia Lunaparra We hope to see you there!
