 ided :)<strong></strong></div><p><br></p><p>Each month\, this committee ho
 sts a Community Meeting to discuss a pressing political issue that impacts
  us here in the East Bay. We've heard from teachers organizing to defend t
 heir students from ICE\, federal workers facing crackdowns & fighting to p
 rotect our public services\, a bus driver organizing his co-workers to pus
 h back against austerity\, a Palestinian organizer helping to stop weapons
  shipments from Oakland to Israel\, volunteers helping workers unionize to
  fight back against the daily oppressions they face on the job\, and leade
 rs of the successful fight to divest Alameda County from Israeli apartheid
 . Each meeting has been filled with rich community discussion as we proces
 s our political moment... and take action.</p><p>For every campaign we dis
 cussed\, we showed up later that month to ORGANIZE! Volunteers from the Co
 mmunity Meeting have given testimony at Board meetings against investment 
 in apartheid\, flyered Oakland businesses with signs educating workers on 
 preventing ICE from entering\, joined ICE watch patrols\, and so much more
 . </p><p>These Community Meetings are a special place -- and they take man
 y hands! <strong>Join us on December 11th to see how you can can be part m
 aking this project possible in 2026.</strong></p><p>Food provided -- <stro
