DSA, Bernie 2020, and Class-Struggle Campaigns

March 31, 2019

Since 2016, democratic socialism has been ascendant in American electoral politics—Bernie’s insurgent presidential run, the groundbreaking victory of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and hundreds of state and local races that have put socialists into elected office.

Join East Bay DSA for a panel reflecting on these developments and discussing the future of democratic socialism in American electoral politics and Sanders’ 2020 presidential run. Panelists will include a host of DSA members from across the country who have been at the center of this movement:

- Jovanka Beckles (former Assembly Candidate for AD-15)
- Lillian Osborne (Field Director for Ald. Carlos Ramirez-Rosa)
- Micah Uetricht (Managing Editor, Jacobin Magazine)
- Meagan Day (Staff Writer, Jacobin Magazine)

Come hear these four amazing organizers share their perspectives on how we can bring class struggle to the ballot box in 2020!
