New Haven School District Strike Support - Week 2

May 30, 2019

Teachers in the New Haven Unified School District in Union City are on strike for livable wages, more student support and smaller class sizes. As NHUSD refused to even come to the table for the first 5 days of the strike, and then took the same stance they did months ago and rejected the results of a neutral-face finding report, the union negotiators are ready for a fight. If weekend negotiations don't yield a settlement, teachers, parents, and students will be back on the picket lines and standing strong on Tuesday, and DSA will be standing in solidarity with them!

Priority schools needing picket support are below. Updates for picket line activity will be posted here as well. Most picket activity begins at 7:00am.

Searles Elementary (33629 15th St.,Union City)
