Socialism Beats Fascism Committee

Do you go to protests and feel that something is missing? Do you feel like *so much* is happening in the world right now, and we need a place to process & take action to meet the moment? Do you have friends you want to bring into the movement, but you don’t have the right place to invite them into?

Good news! The "Socialism Beats Fascism" Committee is stepping up to meet the political moment 

The Socialism Beats Fascism Committee will:

•  Host a monthly Mass Community Meeting to Organize the Fight Back!
•  Organize monthly Outreach Actions to help us all take immediate action to organize our communities into the fight
•  Support rapid response actions

Our Monthly Community Meetings & Outreach Actions will focus on pressing issues we face today, such as:

•  ICE in Oakland schools
•  Attacks on federal workers & services like social security and health care
•  Attacks on trans rights
•  Genocide in Palestine
•  Expansion of the carceral system
•  Attacks on workers, increased surveillance, and precarity
•  and more

Join us if you are interested in any of these activities:

•  Determining what current events or issues we should focus on in the Mass Community Meetings
•  Designing engaging meetings that connect with a wide swath of people
•  Helping out at a monthly meeting with setup or food
•  Designing flyers or social media posts
•  Photography / videography
•  Talking with people in the community about issues they care about
•  Getting more people involved through specific, concrete actions tied to current pressing issues
•  Networking with organizations across the Bay Area
•  Connecting with various East Bay DSA campaigns & projects
•  Learning how to organize
•  Just seeing what the Socialism Beats Fascism Committee is all about!
