Candidate Statement: Eric V.

I developed in our chapter by identifying needs for support, including:

• being vocal with my thoughts about our direction, forging connections with leaders;
• volunteering at each general meeting, becoming merchandise lead;
• organizing direct action and outreach in Hayward with the Social Housing Committee, expanding our struggle among the working class;
• assisting in our most viable and beneficial campaign, Medicare for All — and am now an incoming co-chair of the Committee

I’ve seen that we need multi-tendency, holistic development, to focus our communities’ consciousness into praxis, as well as service-oriented representation and influence at the national stage. Grateful solidarity, comrades.
