Candidate Statement: Rachel R.

As a MeetCom member and SocFem officer, I seek to advance good governance and intersectionality within DSA. My guiding principles:

• Racial justice and gender equality are not distractions or afterthoughts, but rather central to bringing millions into struggle.
• Internal organizing is not a luxury. Lack of accountability rots organizations.
• Chapters’ local knowledge makes them experts in engaging their communities, while national makes our locals more than the sum of their parts by coordinating and provisioning them.
• Winning socialism requires pushing from above and below, and we’ll need every tool: electoral politics, labor organizing, direct action, and mutual aid.
