Convention 2020: September 13, 2020

Position Statements

To facilitate better debate at upcoming online meetings, East Bay DSA members can now submit position statements on upcoming proposals. Given that large-group discussion is difficult to arrange on Zoom, this will help us get to know the positions of our fellow DSA members and make comradely debate and decision-making clearer and easier.

To submit a position statement, fill out this form. We recommend statements be 250-750 words long, and we encourage members to work in pairs and groups to submit joint statements. All signatories of each statement must be East Bay DSA members in good standing. Members of the Comms Committee will read the statements to ensure they are germane and comradely, but will not edit them in any way.

Statements must take a position on one of these resolutions on the agenda for the 2020 East Bay DSA Convention, and need to be submitted by noon on September 12.

If you have any questions, or would like to help review member statements for future general meetings, please reach out to communications@eastbaydsa.org.
