To build a democratic socialist movement, we need thousands of people to step up and organize their communities. Got a few friends and neighbors interested in Bernie? Sign up to knock doors in your neighborhood, and help us reach thousands of working class voters all across the East Bay!
Hosting your own Bernie canvass is a great way to meet your neighbors, talk about what matters to them, and build the most exciting thing happening in the US right now—a mass movement capable of winning the election and the future we deserve!
Here’s how you get started:
1. Sign up to get connected to an organizer, get your canvass kit and host your canvass!
2. Pick up a canvass kit! The kit contains:
- Clipboards
- Pens
- Sign-up sheets
- DSA for Bernie flyers
3. Schedule your first canvass
- Let us know when you can host your first canvass and we’ll get it on our events calendar. You can canvass door-to-door or canvass the crowd at a BART station or at an event. It’s up to you!
- We will support you with canvass trainings, and by helping you publicize your canvass.
4. Invite your friends, neighbors, and DSA members near you
- We’ll help you turn out DSA members who live near you
Transforming our society will take millions of regular working class people talking to each other, door by door, neighborhood by neighborhood, state by state, all across the country. Bernie said it best: “Not me, Us.”
